Who is he? I enjoy getting to know other's characters, but you never describe them...
First: it's hard to belive for me that someone want to know it
Second: using English is still little problematic for me. Using Polish has no sense.
And third: I don't know how to explain in few sentences all things which are important
But always I can try.
Now I conduct Cyberpunk session (in fact: two sessions, but background is similar) and the one of elements is conflict between boostergangs. It isn't a main plot for players but it's important because it has an influence on other events and of course relationships between player's characters and NPC's. In focus of player's interest are two groups. One is 'typical' bikers gang. Second it's rather group of cutthroats with a little more complicate ideology (part of them are ritual tatoos andscaryfications).
Danny as you can see is the member of the second one. What can I say?
It type of 'trouble boy'. He has lot of charm but he's rather egoistic and ironic bastard. This picture with quote on the shirt (started on 'I'm sexy and mysteriuos...'
For me it's very nice NPC but hard to conduct. As a GM I don't need to have always a good riposte as Danny I should
If you want to know something more you must ask about it
Second: You're not as bad at English as you might think - at least I don't have trouble understanding you. Not to mention practice helps in languages, too
Either way I'm glad you made the effort to describe Danny to me. Thank you.
I've seen many people around here using (only) their native language (Polish included, and quite often), and I'm glad you're not one of them. It feels... I don't know, inconsiderate?
On the other hand, I like those who write the descriptions bilingual, however crappy the English part may be. At least they try...
Third: Yep, that I understand
Hmm, both the groups look like quite nasty kids
I definitely understand a character like this is hard to play; I'm not even sure I'd manage to play a character who has charms
It's because they are groups of nasty kids. Differently: if I started this session few years earlier (I've started two years ago) they'll be only nasty kids. Now they're groups of young criminals.
One of my players is six years younger than me.
We've played RPG together eight years or something like that so when we started our first session she was very young and subject-matter of session was... hmmm... slighter?
I avoided really distasteful things. There was death but rather heroic
I didn't want to put young girl in traumatic position. Even in an imagination. There were't themes like rapes, murders, addictions et cetera. I didn't try to intimidate or manipulate my player
Now, sometimes we have a lot of fun on session but sometimes we must take a break to keep at a distance
Yeah, finding the balance between impressive and traumatizing is sometimes tricky. Seems you manage well
What helps us is the fact that we take turns as GM, and added to one multiplayer campaign at a time we play many face-to-face smaller campaigns. Helps one learn who can survive what as a player
i fajny klimat :]
Hmm... I agree
